How long does it take before my domain name is active?

Generally it takes between 4 to 24 hours for new domain name
registrations and 24-72 hours for domain transfers. Once your domain
name has been registered (or transferred, if applicable), Internet providers around the world must update their records to reflect the new site's location. This process, sometimes called replication, takes place for all domain name registrations or transfers. There is nothing we can do to speed up this process. While we register all new domain names and initiate all transfers within 24 hours, it still takes time for this new information to replicate, as that is the very nature of domain name services. But our prompt attention to your order and our partnership with the registrar, Tucows, ensures that you receive the fastest registration or transfer possible!
