How does HTTP Pull CDN Resource caching mechanism work?
Posted by Support on 08 June 2012 10:25 AM

Generally, there are 3 levels of content expiry settings in the AISO CDN solution:

  1. Origin Server - End users may modify the specify file type expiry settings on Virtual Host at the origin server(where the content is hosted), eg Apache config or .htaccess rule.  HTTP meta tag is not supported.
  2. CDN Resource Level - Customers may configure the CDN site's content expiry setting via our control panel by navigating to [CDN Resource] -> Create/Edit CDN Resource -> Enable Advanced Settings.
  3. AISO Level - We have configured the global content expiry time to 60 minutes by default.

The Overwrite Rules: 1 > 2 > 3. For example, if end user sets the content expiry on Origin, it will follow the origin time specified rather the content expiry setting in the control panel.
